Design Principles — Wes Anderson

We’ve long admired filmmaker Wes Anderson. We’ve always pictured his films as quirky exposés, satirical mirrors that reveal much about our society. Modern theatre, captured and stored for repeated viewings. But at their heart, they speak of his love for design. And while we’re certainly not the first people to point out his go-to design principles, there’s a lot to be gleaned from his films, transferable into everyday design. One of our favourites, a principle that rules much of our approach to our own work, is his love for symmetry.
