Fête Ice Cream & Coffee

Fête Ice Cream + Coffee is a cozy, quaint, and warm-feeling ice cream shop offering made-from-scratch recipes, and serving delicious coffee.

Preparing to open their brand new storefront in downtown Winnipeg, Féte needed friendly branding to welcome customers in.

The brand for Fête took on a happy flavour with a vintage aftertaste. The first scoop was a whimsical logo, the second a warm-feeling colour palette, and the third a variety of colourful packages, including their pints, coffee cups and an 'ice cream passport.' All-in-all, we feel it's just the right mix of ingredients.

Intentional to the core of the Fete brand was a sense of notalgia; a time when a trip to the ice cream shop was rare and revered. To help accomplish this, the colour selected were light and poppy — a throwback to the 1950s era of optimism.

Further to the colour palette, the introduction of stripes and scallops was integral to conveying the right feeling — a feeling that cascades throughout multiple brand touchpoints both in-store and online.
