Fools & Horses

Fools & Horses is everything you want in your neighbourhood coffee shop: friendly staff, delicious food, fresh-brewed coffee, and a wonderful environment.

With an update to the cup design came an opportunity to make something recognizable as you saw it out and about.

Inspired by their tiled floor, we drew inspiration from tiles worldwide to create custom patterns. We narrowed down a few geometric directions, allowing us to flex our pattern-building skills. Putting together a series of friendly, punchy colours (starting with a Robin's Egg blue, the colour of their chairs), we opted to take their cup packaging out of minimalism and into the world of bold, bright and happy.

Pairing colours from the original location with pattern inspiration from around the world, we were given license to create beautiful geometric designs, finished in Pantones selected for their reproductive pop.

The cups today remain unchanged, a testament to the strength of the design as it nears its 7th year of production, continuing to represent the brand and feature heavily on social media.
