With 80+ years of history in the local plant-loving community, Shelmerdine offers seasonal services, products and events for people and families of all ages.

In 2017, Shelmerdine was ready to shift its marketing to reach a new generation with social media.

Using content writing and photography to speak their language, we reached 25-40-year-olds online and welcomed them into the store. Years later, these customers are bringing their families in, growing together with Shelmerdine. At the same time, we continue to work with their team, listening to their customers and striving to improve our approach to shift with their audience.

Through open communication, we have worked in tandem with Shelmerdine to grow and shift their online presence through many seasons. As algorithms, mediums, audiences and the economy change, we are always ready to adapt together.

To tell so many seasonal stories, we shoot at multiple locations throughout the year. We show gardens in summer, fall mums and pumpkins at a front door, Christmas in a cozy home, and seasonal plants at the greenhouse.

With all those seasons, products and shoot locations, we created a strong visual aesthetic on day one that has united over seven years of photography and videography. From Shelmerdine’s website to its social media, the brand is instantly recognizable.

With the rise of video on social media, we leveraged Reels to offer plant care to our community and tell stories that fit perfectly in the new audiovisual medium. With an average reach of 9-15K, our audience consistently watches, shares, and saves Shelmerdine’s posts.
