An Ode to Canadian Stubbies

After consuming a Red Stripe this weekend over a conversation about travel we got really excited at the prospect of all the interesting packaging on the other side of the globe. We’re both longtime collectors of anything vintage, and one of my personal collections is beer bottle caps (100+ and counting). Here in Canada the stubby beer bottle was our national beer bottle from 1961 to 1984 and a large source of Canadian pride. As we count down our trip (16 days!) to Europe, visions of unknown bottles and steins dance in our heads. Before we go, we  thought we would share a few of our favourite homegrown beer bottles from the past 50 years.
