This past Friday we arranged a studio visit to Studio on Fire while in Minneapolis. Studio Director Selina Larsen was nice enough to carve out some time from her busy schedule to give us a full tour of their space. All puns aside, we can honestly say it made quite the impression! They are currently moving to the lower floor of their warehouse to make room for 2 additional letterpresses and create a proper space for their team to work in. Only 10 years old as a company, they already have a sterling reputation for extremely intricate work of the uppermost quality. What surprised us considering their breadth and depth of clients was that the team consists of just 8 people, only 2 of them pressmen! With an estimated 70% of their work now coming from outside of Minnesota we’re truly impressed at their efficiency and dedication to their craft.
